Welcome to the Civil Engineering Department, one of the oldest departments in the country. The Department focuses on advanced research and education in the broad areas of Geo-technical, Structural, Transportation, and Water Resources & Environmental Engineering. The Department is within the Division of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Bapu Gujarat Knowledge Village Campus.

The department has expertise in almost entire spectrum of civil engineering, apart from five Higher Degree programs specialized in Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Geo-technical Engineering and Infrastructure Systems. Our faculty members and students are involved in various research activities in all areas of civil engineering. The department is also very active in conducting various conferences, workshops, short term seminars etc. The department has been constantly involved in various consultancy projects.
